Electronics can really help to save energy, whether in household appliances, entertainment electronics, offices, industrial facilities, power supply networks or electric vehicles. In the Nürnberg Metropolitan Region, commercial companies and research facilities are currently stepping up their cooperation activities in the fields of power electronics and energy technology. The cooperation partners are working on economical, compact and reliable systems for many different applications, from televisions to electric automobiles. Bespoke materials and components, as well as intelligent systems, mean appliances and equipment use less energy and are also considerably safer. The Nürnberg region boasts a number of major players who are expanding their existing expertise, generating know-how and developing innovative products.
