OCT – because quality is more than just skin deep#

with Malgorzata Kopycinska-Müller and Ralf Schallert (Group Managers: Characterization Technologies at Fraunhofer IKTS)

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a scanning method that uses light to deliver a tomogram – a 3D representation of the studied object. In many ways, OCT has many attributes of a perfect inspection method: it is contactless, non-destructive, with lateral and depth resolution in the range of several microns. It is also relatively fast so it can be used not only for imaging of static objects but also dynamic processes.

We are looking forward to telling you about OCT and what we have learned using this method to gain structural information from bio-printed materials, single and multicomponent ceramic materials, and composite materials. During the seminar we want to discuss with you even more ideas on how to effectively use this flexible method in industrial environments.

The seminar is part of the online seminar series

NDT4INDUSTRY – Recent developments in advanced NDT#

At the Fraunhofer IKTS site in Dresden-Klotzsche our focus is on developing advanced non-destructive testing solutions for ceramics and many other materials.

We are constantly working on new solutions. We would like to present some of these to you in our new NDT4INDUSTRY online seminar series.

We want to make it live and interactive – so keep watching!
