The Fraunhofer Sustainability Network aims to focus research and the application of research findings more strongly on the principle of sustainability and, to that end, to raise awareness within the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft of the many different sustainable developments taking place.

Statement of the Fraunhofer Sustainability Network on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

In the paper „Statement of the Fraunhofer Sustainability Network on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)“, the Fraunhofer Sustainability Network discusses selected Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in relation to the scientific activities of the institutes as well as global trends and developments. It examines only those SDGs to which the institutes of the network can contribute. The aim is to inform the interested public and to document the network’s position. This complements information already provided by the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in its most recent Sustainability Report, and represents a starting point for further discussion and for the implementation of the SDGs within the framework of research and development.
