The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft is in close exchange with parliament, political parties and the federal government as well as scientific organizations, associations and companies in order to contribute our research to the benefit of society.

As an overarching unit within Fraunhofer's Presidential Division, we convey the interests and positions of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft at our two locations in Munich and Berlin.

The Capital Office represents Fraunhofer's interests on-site and maintains relationships with decision-makers from politics, science, business and society. All political formats of the Science Policy Department take place in Berlin. Contacts with ministries, parties and associations as well as other scientific organizations are maintained from here.

The Capital Office in Berlin is located at the Fraunhofer-Forum in the heart of Germany's capital. It is close to Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt, situated directly by the Spree river on the opposite bank of the Berlin Cathedral.
