High-Performance Center

Simulation and Software-based Innovation, Kaiserslautern

The High-Performance Center Simulation and Software-based Innovation was established in Kaiserslautern in January 2016. It recognizes the intensive and productive collaboration there between the two higher education institutions, the research institutes and the local economy, and stands as a testament to the research expertise that has been developed in Kaiserslautern over the last two decades.

The application-focused research of the two Fraunhofer Institutes for Experimental Software Engineering IESE and for Industrial Mathematics ITWM is supported by some 30 faculties from the Technische Universität and Hochschule Kaiserslautern as well as the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, the Institute for Composite Materials and the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems.
