Quote Dr. Ines Veile

Group Leader and Deputy Head of the Materials Characterization Department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Nondestructive Testing IZFP

»Above all, the TALENTA funding enabled me to create freedom. I was able to use the additional time I had available to build up the group and for my personal further qualifications. I was also free to choose which further training courses I wanted to attend.«

This is what our experts say about TALENTA:

TALENTA start

Christina Gabriel is a research associate in the Starch Modification/Molecular Properties department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research IAP.

»Thanks to TALENTA, I was able to start my doctorate in the same department straight after completing my master's thesis at the Fraunhofer IAP. Without the funding, the doctoral position would not have existed. I used the funding both for further training to deepen my specialist knowledge and to attend a conference in England.«

TALENTA speed up

Dr. Shanshan Gu-Stoppel works as Senior Scientist and Group Leader for Optical Systems in MEMS Development at the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology ISIT.

»Fraunhofer enables me to sharpen my scientific profile in parallel to my day-to-day work - among other things, I get time to work on my publications. That is worth its weight in gold.«

TALENTA excellence

Dr. Iman Taha is head of the Materials and Testing Technology department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Casting, Composite and Processing Technology IGCV.

»As part of the TALENTA support program, I attended personal coaching sessions in addition to leadership training, in which I explicitly addressed my situation and that of my team members. I also used a team-building measure to identify specific goals and topics for the team.«
