Office manager (all genders), focus: HR / administrative assistance and clerical

Be the change

  • You will get to know the various departments at Fraunhofer and gain valuable skills that will help you get ahead in the long term (such as office and scheduling management and how to book business trips).
  • During your time in our purchasing department, you will learn how to procure office supplies, materials and equipment and make research at our institute possible in the first place.
  • And of course, your experienced colleagues on the HR team will teach you everything there is to know about HR administration and recruiting (such as job postings and personnel planning). 
  • During your vocational training, you will also have the chance to explore our financial accounting and management accounting structures and learn how to perform calculations for projects, work on contracts and pay invoices. 
  • With all this under your belt, you can embark on your career as a truly multifaceted professional and find the team that fits best for you once your program is complete!
     

Minimum qualifications 

  • The ideal candidate will have a general secondary school diploma (Mittlerer Schulabschluss (or equivalent) if obtained in the German system) or higher education entrance qualification (Abitur or Fachhochschulreife if obtained in the German system), with an average grade of Good to Very Good. We’re open to different paths!
  • Enjoy communication and working with and for people.
  • Excellent communication and spelling skills along with a good head for numbers.
  • Interest in the fields of HR and office management.
  • Proficiency with computers and standard programs (such as MS Office).
  • And last but not least, you can impress us if you are dedicated and hardworking, open and willing to learn and enjoy contributing as part of a team.
