When you join us, you will start working in practice right away, taking on exciting tasks such as planning technical applications, solving problems and supporting our teams in the use of IT systems. Our IT departments work to make sure everything runs smoothly, from planning and configuration to troubleshooting and day-to-day support. Be the change

  • You will be involved in planning, installation, maintenance and administration for complex IT systems and networks.
  • We will teach you everything you need to know about our various operating systems, computer network technologies and protocols.
  • You will become familiar with the Fraunhofer cloud services, including the Fraunhofer Private Cloud, and various public cloud services.
  • Our information and telecommunications technology is always up to date — thanks in part to your own efforts in analyzing disruptions and system errors and helping to resolve them.
  • After a while, you will also be able to work on your own at the IT help desk, assisting our employees with IT-related questions and issues.
     

Minimum qualifications

  • Preferably, you have a general secondary school diploma (Mittlerer Schulabschluss (or equivalent) if obtained in the German system) or higher education entrance qualification (Abitur or Fachhochschulreife if obtained in the German system).
  • You are excited about everything related to computers, hardware and software and are already familiar with the rudiments of the field. 
  • You have a rapid grasp of new information and a logical mindset and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • You rise to the occasion when faced with tricky issues.
  • We also welcome those who have completed some higher education, ideally in STEM, but not finished a degree.
